Hokahay boys and girls, ran into a dusky little buck about 1020 on the last morning of Winter (7#) or so.
And then I encountered a beautiful hen that was at least twice as large an hour later. Which would be my first fish of the Spring.

After a great spring last year, I'm skunked this year.
Great news - a banner day! I hear things are picking up lately.
Tony, I am doing some work with your alma mater and should be able to manage an extra day or two to search for steel if I should fly out occasionally.

Wow! Knowing the amount of time you put in, your knowledge of conditions and experience on your home waters, etc., your catch stats tell me there havn't been too many fish around even if water conditions may have made things difficult more often than usual this season. Or, I suppose, you could have just had a lot of bad luck -but I doubt that explanation.

Good go! Here on the upper Rogue we've got over 3000 fish through the counter and NO BODY knows where the heck they've gone. Actual 'hooked fish' are as rare as 'hen's teeth.'
