Took the seven weight to Norwich Harbor this morning. Not my favorite place to fish. Gulls were on very small bait right next to the docks. Loads of twinks up to 20 inches. Shoulder I injured two months ago is very sore again!

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a twink?

As Penguin would say "it's like a striped bass only smaller" :chuckle:

(It's local jargon for juvenile striped bass)

Ron. You can be there in less than an hour. 250 grain... just a foot or two sink time. I didn't catch any that small so I guess they would be deamed big twinkies with extra filling. Yakers...Hamburg Cove is on fire! Just pick the right day. Much prettier place to fish than Norwich.

Hamburg Cove is on the east side of the Connecticut River, and yes you do need a CT liscence to fish there.
