hi all, I am looking for an informative (educational) book on stiper fishing, flies, tides, and everything else that has to do with fishing the new england coast. If anyone knows of a couple good ones please let me know. Thanks everyone

Inshore Fly Fishing by Lou Tabory is about as good as it gets. I would also give Fly Fishing the Saltwater Shoreline by Ed Mitchell high marks.

Ed Mitchell's "Flyrodding the Coast" is the best of the genre' IMHO. All of Tabory and Mitchell's books are top notch. Coalo's "Sightfishing For Striped Bass" is very good also. But as an introductory type book Flyrodding the Coast is put together extemely well and is hard to beat.

I can`t believe that no one mentioned Taborys Inshore Flyfishing! In my opinion the Bible for flyguys.
Slinger, are you asleep? Sean metioned it in the second reply to Castafly's question. It is a real good book
