med/fast would probably be the helix series, there is a huge range of models from tiny to salt water. the next softest would be the lps (light presentation) which are mainly trout rods. they also added the heirloom series this season which are fiberglass, i believe, the specs are a little vague on construction.

T&T's have it all - the sweetest flex, probably the best reel seats I've seen and American made quality and service. I like the Helix series, but the fiberglas has me interested.

I've learned that fiberglas has quietly been making advances in technology while graphite has stolen the show. I started with glas rods and remember how nice they felt and how indestructible they were. I wouldn't mind finding a few applications for modern glass rods.

I think that the Horizon is kind of medium fast.

michigander,

T&T makes great rods, the Horizons are the most powerful in my opinion, I have a 5weight from the "first generation", and a six and eight weight Helix, a five and six weight Vector, and some DH-rods.

The Helix has stiffer and faster butt than the Horizon, but with a more delicate tip, I feel. A few hours of fishing with my Helix 6wt is more tiring than with my Horizon, and it is not because of the one wt difference, rather because of the difference in the rod's action. The Helix lineup for me feels more fragile than the Horizons' first generation. But the Helix is a casting machine, for sure. The 8 wt Helix is much more "delicate" than my XTR.

My "working" rod is my Horizon, but my favourites are the Vectors. Effortless casts, progressive action and very fast recovery. I would say med.fast...like the Sage SP, but somehow more balanced. Must be interesting in higher line wghts. I just shaked one 12wt, 8,6' long Vector a few weeks ago, and it had a "soul", and felt more like a 10 wght rod, but with awesome power.

all of the series have a definite feel, and the power of the rod comes from the butt in every series...however the LPS has the most delicate (med-fast)action
sorry being so long..
cheers, peter

Either the Vector (very like the Sage SP) or LPS, with the LPS being rods that are a bit more flexible and delicate. The Horizons are defintely fast, stiffer rods and the Helix have a powerful butt, very fast recovery, and slightly softer tip than the Horizons.
