Not sure if it's because I am getting older but with each holiday season that passes I get less material and more appreciative of the intangibles that make life so incredible of a gift - precious loved ones, friends who could not be replaced, and the indulgences we enjoy in the wild watery places of our beautiful blue orb in the cosmos.

Very best of holidays to all, and a happy new year!

Happy Holidays from Paxton, Ma. Wishing everyone health, happiness and fond appreciation of all the little things in life.
To my fellow Chatham anglers.....may the stripers arrive early...may the blues not chase them off the flats like last year, may the Southway remain open and if not, may Santa create a permanent breach between "L" and "K", may Spring come soon so that we can be once again be greeted by Capt. Keith, the Admiral and their trusty stead, Chloe. May the Winter be short so once again we can laugh as the horsecrabs repeatedly bump into our boots on the flats while spotting for fish.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Happy New Year and all that from the raging Alsea River. We've had a long serious of winter storms, and the river's going to be out of shape for a while.

Time to overhaul the tackle as we drink eggnog by the tree. The river will drop and the steelhead will come.

Seasons Greetings,
