Spent the last few day on Eastern Long Island chasing the migration. Went to a local tackle shop and after spending $45 on hooks was told that only a few blues were around . Marine forcast said there would be gale force winds. Well I decided to fish anyways. First cast produced the classic blue fish leader.
Using my Flats skills I set up on a fishy looking point. After two cast I got the familar tug. Striper !!! After that it was non stop action. I made the right decision.
No Phat Lady on the Island. Fish were husky chamber of commerce South Beach Stripers on their way South. I'm the talk of the area as I was the only one catching fish. On top of that I was the only flyfisherman. :lildevl:
FishHawk :D

brings fame to the forum. As his reputation grows, I will remember having fished with him many times. Way to go Bill, show those metal and bait chunkers how it is done on the fly.
