I'll be traveling in Tahiti later this month and understand that there is good bonefishing on the island of Rangiroa. I will only be on that island one day but have had a hard time finding any substantive information. HELP!
Quite a bit written on this island and the French Polynesians in general, sounds like you should have a good shot. There are some cheap tours that cater to bonefishing as well. Lots of blacktip shark photos come up on google so plan accordingly.
By satellite the southwest tip and west side look best, although the medium island to the southwest looks more flats covered and that little guy on the next oceanic ridge to the south looks downright amazing by aerial recon.
Good luck and let us know how you do.
