Hi Guys,

Mike Brady is looking for a donation of an old unwanted Fly rod and reel combo to put up in the visitor center. He is putting together a station on the Striper fishery at Monomoy. I just went in this morning and saw the Fiberglass mount he had made of a 36" fish. What a great job, looked like it just came out of the water. He is also having some sand eels mounted to put with the fish.
He has a spinning rig with a slugo, but he wants to find a flyrod set up with a sand eel pattern fly to display also. The station will have explanations of the sport and why Monomoy is so popular etc. Juro is also looking at producing a video for Mike to have on display, so with everything done it should be pretty interesting and informative for the folks coming in.

If anyone can supply or suggest a way of getting something please let me know or contact Mike Brady directly at the Refuge at (508-945-0594 ext 10)

If your in the area stop by and see the mount for your future trophy.

I have a Pfluegar Medalist with line that I could donate. Unfortunately, I don't have any rods to part with right now...much to my wifes dismay.

Are they looking for a used rod for the nostalgic/antique look? I am guessing this is one area one of our sponsors may be able to step up and help with. With the foot traffic that place must get I would think Sage/TFO etc... might want their stick in the display.

Good PR for Fishing the Cape in Harwich. They are a Forum sponsor. Keith. Give them a shout.

Captn' - I misunderstood, I thought they wanted an old cane or fiberglass rod with a 'vintage' look. I could have donated a modern setup easily - but now I will have to put my attention toward working with a top-gun videographer and sound guy (the two who helped me get Simon Gawesworth set up on Cape Cod for the two-handed segment of his next DVD) instead.

As far as flies... I think we can get a collection together among this group!
