Hiya all,

I'm heading to St. THomas as a newbee flyfisherman.
Been out a few times off the salem willows and beverly area for some stripers this summer is all.
I am heading down to St. Thomas to a house we rented next to Magen's Bay and am looking for advice on where to go for some costal fishing spots (if any) near there.
I have a rental car, but would prefer to keep as close to magen's as possible for the most part... that being said if there is a GREAT spot elsewhere I sure will travel.

Thoughts? ideas? times? places? flys? line weight etc?

ANY info or tips appreciated!

thanks!

Dharam

Here is a guide service in St. Thomas:

(non-sponsor link removed by admin)

I was just in St. Thomas for a day while on a cruise with my wife. I have heard that the only place to wade out for fish on St. Thomas is Megan's Bay, early in the morning, there are bonefish. I got there late in the day (1:00) and didn't see any fish. That beach is also popular, so later in the day it gets crowded.

good luck

I think your best bet is to drive to Red Hook and then ferry over to St.John...

It has many more areas to fish than St. Thomas....

ps. it has been years since I tried STT but it was very tough back then...but St. John has a ton of possibilities...

If you decide to do this... let me know and I will dig up some info for you on St.John
