I'll be up in the Stowe, Vermont area this weekend and was thinking of throwing a rod in the car.
Anyone know about the fishing in this area this time of year?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have no ideas on hatches or where to go but it will probably be a good weekend to get out trout hunting almost anywhere in northern New England.

I find this a bit late, but I can say the fishing is pretty good in the smaller streams in the area.
The Fly Rod Shop in Stowe has good info. You might try the Dog or Mad Rivers - wild fish potential. Try hoppers, ants, and isonychias. The Lamoille could be good depending on water levels after this rain. A pretty time to be out in VT anyway... hope you find/found some.
