I had the opportunity to fish with my dad and younger brother up in Maine on Saturday. It was overcast with light fog and occasional drizzle, and the water in Casco Bay was FAC. The only real obstacle to the fishing was the amount of floating eel grass and other weed in the water that came and went with the tide.

Schoolies and bluefish cooperated, and we teased each other mercilessly. Days like that make me wish that we didn't live 200 miles apart and could fish together more often, but I suppose the distance makes the times that we do get together even more significant.

We really couldn't tell what the fish were feeding on because the water wasn't very clear, but bright colors in wide profiles seemed to work best. We could have done without the floating junk in the water, but were satisfied with what fish we did catch.
