I'm taking my son's teacher's husband out fishing on Tuesday, he's never flyfished AND WANTS TO GIVE IT A TRY so I just want to get him on fish, bass, blues, whatever.... can be on the cape or the Habah if it is any good now...thanks, I've only been fishing once(at the Big Brother outing) this season.
oh yeah, we'll be in a boat, thanks, Tom D
Tides are good for mid-day action, but the 7-10 NE wind might be a problem for a newbie caster in the habah or bayside. Use the Capt.Keith rule, add the two numbers together to get closer to actual.
You could tuck inside Sandy Neck (use "the" retrieve from last time we were there) or hit the Sound and stay on the shorelie out of the wind.
You're sure to find blues on the sound under birds, a lot of fun for him and something for the grill. Launch at Bass River, Saqutucket, Oyster River for access to the refuge waters, or west to Falmouth, all kinds of options there.
Better check the wind conditions tonight though things have been changing quickly lately.
