On the outside. 150 yds off SB the water was 47 deg. yesterday AM. We came around the point of SM and were greeted by water in the low 60's. Where the 2 converge at the rip there was an absolute massacre going on with hundreds of gulls/terns and loads of bluefish stacked in the rip. Had some fun with poppers for a while but left the spectacle in search of bass. Got a couple on the flats and called it after a long day.
There was a lone fly fisherman on foot that seemed to be having an epic day on the SB flats. Every time I looked over the guy was hooked up to what seemed like good fish. I wonder if it was someone from this board....
