I posted this thread on another forum but decided to post it here as many posters fish both fresh and salt.

"We have two 8 wt single handed rods: 9' T&T Vector and 9'6" Winston BIIx. I would like a third rod for back up, use by a friend, etc. The rod will be used primarily for Steelhead, GL's Pacific Salmon, and some Atlantics. I would like to have the rod be appropriate for bonefish as well. Unfortunately, I have yet to fish for bonefish so I can only guess at what to look for in a bonefish rod. Any thoughts on rods?"

I strongly suggest you take a look at the TFO TiCr X 9' 8 wt. Hands down this rod performs. In fact, it performs better than most and for a fraction of the price. TFO has a great warranty and great customer service as well. Don't think you will find a better performing rod at any price.
