Can anyone direct me to such a place. Sometimes after work or in between I like to get away for a couple of hours and don't want to burn all my time in traveling. Sometimes a low tide at 6 in the morning can be a little impractical...

Thanks.

Chris,

First you need a state map of RI. That's going to help you find places with some localized names.

You've already been the the Seekonk River, but that is a low tide place.
The harricane barrier with be baron soon. Too late in the season
I suggest the best places around Providence would be Gaspee Point, Pawtucket River discharge and breakwall.

On the East side of the bay is Bold Point near the boat ramp. Also along the east side of the bay is the bike path that skirts the waterfront. There is an outflow at Veterern's Parkway near Metacomet CC. It's a short walk from the overlook parking area but worth it. Outflow tide is best.

Keep it tight to the reel.
