: Narragansett Bay Charter Trip

04-08-2005, 09:16 PM

Fly or light tackle 1/2 day charter trip in Narragansett Bay for two.
Spring offers some of the best big fly/open water herring/alewives fishing for stripers all season long.

Fall fishing for blues is fantastic with blitzes that boggle the mind. Great trip for the kids with plenty of top water action.

All proceeds benefit the Fly Fishing Forum. This could be your best hedge against inflation this summer. Gasoline prices may reach $2.50/gal.

Auction closes Sunday, April 24th @ 6:00 pm. Let the games begin.

Ray -

Thanks once again for helping us out! You've been a real asset to the community whether teaching a fly pattern at the fly shows, meistering the early bird, or donating a trip for auction aboard your sweet ride on the waters you know like the back of your hand.

I have a feeling after such a bad winter that the spring trip will be most people's choice!

Thanks Juro..... We'll try to jump start the Forum striper season in good effort

Forget the winter of '05

Doc... Way to go! I luv a good poker game. Need a few more players to make it really interesting. Ante up everybody!

Slip my mind, but the winner of this trip gets to cast a vote in the College of Fly Fishing Cardinals to elect the "New Fisherman of the people." I still have some pull being Polish, but not as much as I had before.

Striblue.... Thanks for the kind expressions.... I'm really not worthy. Thanks for noticing though.

Ray, thanks for your support.

To whomever wins this action, you're in for fun whether the fishing is hot or not. I'll just leave it at that.

Which pattern is Ray's?

Chris- If you have the catalog look on page 28 lower right hand corner. Ray's fly is the first one listed in the saltwater section. Its quite similar to Skok's mushmouth, but yet different enough to deserve recognition. Ron

Well, all I can say is...

I am really looking forward to this trip, Capt. Ray, and will get in touch to set up a date. Where should I send the check?

Best regards,

P.S. Mrs. Doc is even more psyched about a fishing trip than I am! She's practicing her casting daily...and looking way too carefully at my fly boxes. :whoa:
