Trophy & likely world record, caught by my friend Gord Kennedy from Calgary a few weeks ago, using a 7 Wt. , somewhere in Cuba.
Length 33 inches, girth 22 inches, estimated at 18.75 pounds, which is 4 pounds more than the current record bone caught on a fly and close to 2 pounds more than the all tackle record.
Way to go Gordie! I'm sure much more will be written about this one.

Just thought I'd point out by way of comparison the fish on the cover of Bahamas Fly Fishing Guide. - a 15+ pound monster.

Draw your own conclusions.

(Above mentioned fish seen here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/1558219617/ref=sib_dp_pt/104-1120255-3128753#reader-link or go to amazon and do a search under that title)

Measure your 4 fingers (less thumb). Avg length is 3 3/4 to oh say 4 inches. Apply this to the hands in the photo. I see girth as about 12 inches max. length about
(from "V") as abot 26-28 inches. Me think-em Gordie speak-um forked tounge to indian.....indian not believe fish that big......but I could be wrong...wouldnt be the 1st time.....

Or the gentleman is 6'7 and weights 250 pounds (I am of course talking about the one on the right :chuckle: ). In any case, a fine looking trophy - especially with a seven weight.

That fish looks like about 6 pounds.

I have caught several bonefish that were over 36 inches and the biggest weighed
just over 13pounds.
