For anyone interested, the following web site: http://monomoy.fws.gov/cbi.htm
contains a 9 page report outlining all the issues identified regarding the Monomoy Refuge sytem. It is quite informative and will be of assistance in us having a full picture of the issues in preparation for the open public meetings.
Speaking for myself only....I truly hope that knowing that everything is status quo for the next 3 to 5 years does not mean that our members will become complacent and not participate in the open public meetings. Whatever gets engraved in stone after the CCP is done, will stay that way for 15 years. By that time, I may be too arthritic to be able to fish or be "planted" at J bouy  , but many of you young guys won't be.

One other thing that annoys the Feds is people hanging gear on the refuge signs.
I did not knowt this , so please do not do this , we need them as friends.
I would add to Ron's post that those of you who can attend the public meetings please do so. The more imput from our group the better.

So what's next in this important cause?

Who's going to Town Hall in Sudbury on April 7 from 2 PM to 4 PM?

Juro, Bill (Fishhawk) and I are going to the Sudbury 2-4 meeting. I most likely will attend both the afternoon and evening meetings (think Bill will too pending need).
My sense is that representation at these meetings may be important for our input as I believe that many of the neighbors requested of Bill Perry, that the meetings be in Sudbury. Hopefully others will attend these and other meetings as well so that we are not viewed as being a "singular" interested party. Please refer to my other previous post (scoping meeting summary of 3/22...Striblue's thread), for additional info. Gathering info, I am becoming less concerned about fishing per se and more concerned about access to the refuge (parking there) for the public in general, which would affect everyone...maybe just paranoid :-(

I have lined up another fisherman who might attend the Sudbury meeting from 2 to 4pm on April 7th. I appeal to all you shore bound anglers that these are important meetings to attend. We don't want to see this wonderful area put off limits by just a handful of landowners. FishHawk

I attended the meeting held at the Refuge on March 22 and will be attending the 11AM meeting in Chatham on April 5.

Anyone else attending that meeting?
