I wonder if anyone out there could help my indntify a reel I came across.

It is a "Lefty Kreh Special, Monarch M35/AR by J. Saracione".

I know nothing about it other than that Saracione makes some mighty fine
stuff. Not sure if its valuable and should have it appraised, or is it just a good reel and I can strap it on my salt water rod and go. I would be interested in.

- its age,
-approximate value
-rated line weight
-is it salt water compatible
-can I use it or should I be putting it in a display case

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rob,

I hadn't known much about Saracione, but found the following (you may have already found this):

That's some top-rate gear! Check out the prices listed there and you can decide if it would be better for you to put it in a case or to fish it; from the article, it seems that Mr. Saracione likes his reels to be fished. If it's any kind of limited production model then it may be worth quite a bit.

Thanks for the info. I had not found anything to date. What did you mean by "pm'd"?
