New England Saltwater Fly Rodders
Annual Fundraiser & Silent Auction
Featuring Ken Abrames

Tuesday, March 8th - Northern Essex Community College - Haverhill, MA

We are pleased to present the return of Ken Abrames, accomplished fly fisherman, gifted artist, innovative fly tier, lecturer, and author of Striper Moon and A Perfect Fish.

Ken's program will start with a fly tying demo emphasizing “matching the hatch” with natural materials, with commentary on the mechanics, the materials, tools and proportion.

Ken will share many valuable insights and reveal classic and innovative strategies and tactics that will increase your effectiveness when faced with difficult fish. In this talk, Ken will point out ways to recognize and blend both “match the hatch” and baitfish behavior into a system of presentation techniques that have proven their worth time and over again in his forty years plus of fly fishing for stripers in Rhode Island and New England.

The club will also be holding both a silent auction and bucket raffle during this event. Silent auction items include guided trips with local captains, a fly rod and reel setup and collection of flies tied by Dick Brown. Raffle items include lines, hooks, videos, books, gear bags, wading shoes, art and more.

This event is open to the public and the doors will open at 6:30 PM.

Please visit the club website for driving directions and more details:

Sounds like a great auction with good items. Too bad I'm in Maine and you don't post some of the items online for distance bidding.

Good idea, but technology wise, we are lucky to have a web site (with a lot of help from Juro) never mind online auction capability :)
