Does anyone have any experiences with this reel? I have talked to a few shops around and they have sold quite a few around the Boston area. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The only Galvan with which I have hands on experience is the OB-4. Beautifully made reel. If the quality of the Torque 12 is like the OB-4, it should be a fine reel.

If you are interested in the Torque 12, I suggest you take a serious look at the Orvis Mach VI. The reels weight the same, the Mach VI has a bit more backing capacity, Orvis says it is "100% corrosion proof", and it costs $125 less than the Torque 12. Plus, you have Orvis standing behind the Mach VI. I have a Mach V and love it, although I haven't used it for saltwater speciies like tarpon or bonefish, which I think are among those in which you are interested.

Just my $0.02. The usual disclaimers.
