Not sure if any of you had a chance to meet my friend Peter "TUNA" Rothwell off of Montauk but he was one of the best if not the best Albie fisherman I have ever seen. Not to mention a genuinely beautiful human being who respected the fishing and the people involved like nobody I have ever met. Peter had a Boston Whaler and rare was the day when I would not see Peter out at the point plying the waters for his most favorite of fish False Albacore. I posted a much longer thread on the Reel-Time New York board if anyone is interested. Unfortunately I received news just yesterday that my friend Peter passed away from a short battle with Stomach Cancer over the weekend. I did not even know he was ill and this especially hurt me as i would have dropped everything and gone to visit him at Mt. Sinai in a second. He truly was a rare find and awesome person who I will miss horribly, he did many very kind things for me without having to be asked and was always giving of himself and information. For those of you that never had the chance to meet Peter I only wish you could have and for those of you lucky enough to have been in his company you know what I am talking about. Godspeed to you Peter I will see you in the next life as we chase the fall blitzes.
