I remmenber that name and looked it up ...

"Great Lakes Steelhead - A Guide tour for the Fly Angler" by Bob Linsenman and Steve Nevala, page 104, picture page 97

Directly from the book ....

Thugmeister Spey:
Hook Size: 6 - 1
Tag: Peacock Herl
Body: Electric Blue Flashabou
Rib: Silver Flashabou
Thorax: Kaufman's black stone angora dubbing
Hackle:
D1: Half stripped Blue-eared Pheasant
D2: Half Stripped Black Marabou
D3: Rubber Hackle
Comment: A visatile patteren that seems to work well in slow current as it does in the St. Mary's rapids.

I have never tied or fished it, so I can help any more than this.

I hope this helps.

Stephen
