: Slinger lands another Albie

Fished the Middleside today and good ol Slinger shows up a little early for wading the mud flat. He decides to take the long walk with his wading staff ( "because he is old")while I listen to the Patriots for a while longer. After the tide drops abit I go and join him. I drop an Albie then there was a period with no action. I convince the Slinger to switch spots for luck. He agrees and I move up the rip abit and he slides to my spot. Next thing I know he has a Albie on taking line. I encourage him to move down the rip abit to fight the fish. With his second step he slips on the one rock on the mud flat and leans sideways and slowly submerges onto his left side slowly, flyrod in one hand, now wading staff in the other to keep his hat dry

After a quick recovery to his feet he continues to fight the Albie in the rip, dripping seawater in the glistening setting sun. Next, his reel handle loosens and he finishes the fight by palming the spool to gain line and land the fish...All in all a great job by good ol Slinger

I would have paid a lot of cash for a video of that one, especialy after you tailed the fish and stuck it in my stripping basket with the tail tucked under my chin while the water flowed off both of us, looked like the fish had me!
Cloths are dried, reel`s fixed, let the battle continue. 12 more days.
