I am planning on trying to get out on Plum Island on this coming Monday. Can anyone give me the low down on where to fish. Places to park etc. If you don't want to post certain info on the board please PM info to me. I would be more than willing to share whatever info I have about spots in Maine.
Thanks for the Help,

With a ~4 am hight tide I would fish the beach front at first light. Drive right onto the island. When you pass Surfland tackle store on the right the ocean is right in front of you. The main drag bends to the left there but park in the little lot. From there you should fish to your left (north). About 1.5-2 miles up the beach you come to the jetty for the Merrimack. Bait gets pinned in the jetty armpit on the ocean side sometimes.
Keep an eye on the beach up and down as this time of year anything can erupt.
Later on at low tide, fish in the river. You should walk (fish your way) back to the car and follow the main drag to the end. You could also just hang and walk upriver from the jetty but them you're 2 miles from your car. Nobody does this usually. So back to the car and continue down the the end of main drag. There is a big parking lot by the small light house. Then walk to the north out of the lot to find the river. Now you are 1 mile inland from the jetty. Best at low tide, but anything goes. If it's dead, I would drive the coastal roads along the beaches in search of birds all the way back to Maine. Hampton can get action too.
