the following is a true story, only the names have been changed to protect my sorry ass: i tried to find the "south fork" of the cache le poudre river in colorado today. got lost, slid down scree slopes and put my feet in terrible pain (for full story check me out at uzibear.blogspot.com. when i got back to my car i could not get my feet out of the boots (just barely got them on). i had neglected to wear socks. i pulled out my hand leatherman and cut my boots to shreads. i know this wasn't a particularly intelligent thing to do, so no need to remind me. they were cheap, rubber bottom boots that didn't fit and gave me heinous blisters. then again maybe it wasn't all that unintelligent after all.
