: Rip Trip Confirmation and ROLLCALL!
09-15-2004, 10:03 AM
Please check the last Update thread with the names and days assigned.... I need to start this thread now to get a CONFIRMATION and ROLLCALL for next weekend...so we have time to adjust the lists in the event of drop outs...but now is the time for you to say yea or nea. Please.... If you have any doubts...say so now... also.. I hope we have no no-shows.... not good.... especially to others who would have prefered the day the no show does not show. Finally... we need to stay close to this all next week to be able to adjust... and we still don't know the weather yet.

By tyhe way, Keith just e-mailed me and confirmed that if we are unable to get to the south point, he has received permission to drop us at the North Tip of South monomoy where he tells me the reports of big bass are coming in...so we should be in for it either way...

Just a question for you folks that have been to South Monomoy before.....if we end up going to the North tip....is that surf or flats water? Just trying to figure out which flies to bring.
09-17-2004, 05:27 PM
Ron..it's really both...so big sand eels are ok...but make sure you put some small ones in as well for the north flats...
09-21-2004, 08:25 AM
Bringing this back to the top.
By the way....
Big sandeel patterns (Clouser, Deep eel, Well diggers arse, KKlouser) for the rip or the North end. 300 grn QD type line seems to work in the current. I'm also bringing a floater, long thin flatwings and a voodoo doll for fun.

Fred, don't forget your Mushies with those big Tunoids around
