Fished the swift yesterday. Talk about beautiful weather. Still lots of fish
around and the crowd dwindled in the afternoon. Slow morning but as the
sun got low and the anglers disappeared the fishing really picked up.

Had sporadic caddis hatches throught the day but the fish never stayed up
long enough to take advantage. As usual the risers were focused on tiny
cream colored midges. I had some takes but could not connect.

Instead I fished terrestrial/dropper combos and landed some nice healthy rainbows mostly with the subsurface patterns. All fish were in very good
shape with a nice yellow tint on the bellies.

Saw loads of little wild brookies around which is a very good thing.

Wish they would crank the water up a little bit like they have done in past
years...the flows are painfully slow at the moment.

I wish I was out there with ya! Did you lay the "honey bug" on 'em? Have you made any trips to the Deerfield, Westfield, or the Chesterfield store this summer?

I guess I need to get my subscription to the "In Fisherman" going...
