If you could only use 5 flys to fish a western river with 'bows to 8 lbs which would they be?

What about lakes?

One would be a sculpin pattern in my 5... 8# rainbows have a 'dark side'.

I would also include a freshwater scud/shrimp pattern....many of the fish out there get that big buy feasting on such creatures.

#3 would have to be a woolybuger, probably black and olive.

I'm similar to Dewey: Bugger, muddler, PT nymph, Stone fly & a bushy dry that can be trimmed to match almost any profile.

Sculpin or muddler, black stonefly nymph, tan (or better yet golden brown) elk hair caddis, grasshopper, Royal Wullf. This assume you will be fishing during mid-June to mid-September.
