I have finally been able to sit and tye some Crab Apples for Chatham... Each is different and took me a while to tye especially during the recent humidity. I owe a bunch of people some of these flies and will tye more this week. Some I will test out which are a lighter brown. These are some examples of the difference in each one.

John -

Thanks for showing these to me at the light this am. I have a confession to make... you'd better count them again in your box :lildevl:

As usual... I turn my back up at the lot....look down toward the beach and just above the top of the sand dune...I see a long rod bent and the bait guys are all pointing....

Really nice!
I know some flats on ACK where those flies would come in handy.
Do you also put rattles in these patterns John?

John,
beautiful work! That looks like a boat load of work to get that huge batch of Crab apples whipped up. How do they cast.... a few of the crab patterns that I have tied that involve the epoxy and partridge on the back are big old leader spinners. do have a trick that makes them cast truer? regardless.. they look beautiful! :smokin:
