I have been thinking of trying the south side near Popponesett Bay. Does anyone know of a ramp near that Bay?

I am not sure if I will be making the Spring Clave just as yet, but things are starting to fall into place. If so I will have room for one guest on Saturday.

Hope to make it down there, will know later today.

Hi guys,

That is a great site Tom posted, But beware...

I would be leary of the all tides column on this site. Rock harbor is considered a tidal ramp. While you may be able to put in at all tides you certainly won't get out of the harbor unless it's a kayak at low tide. I usually wouldn't be able to get out on the lower half of the tide without bumping bottom depending what your boat drafts. Even a 16ft scout may have some trouble on the lower half at Rock Harbor for example. Well fleet ramp is closed the last couple hours of the low tide as well so I know that some of these are not all tides accessable!

Greg.
