I will be in Milwaukee May 20 -21. Would like to do some flyfishing within an hour or two from downtown. So far some guides will take me for Musky and bass since I will be too late for steelhead/salmon. But other guides are telling me I am too late for steelhead but also too early for Musky and too late for bass. Can someone give me their best take on what fishery makes sense for May 20-21 within a 2hr rardius of Milwaukee - if anything.
IMHO, largemouth bass would be your most reliable bet. If you wanted to take a chance, I would say give musky a try, but nstead of traveling north in Wisconsin, travel south to northern Illinois to the Fox River/Chain of Lakes area.
is that a weekend? cause if it is i could take you somewhere
