Any suggestions on fishing Narragansett Bay? Where is the best place to put a boat in? Do fish run up in there early in the season?

Craig, You might check RI Icebreaker lll by Capt. Ray Stachelek this forum. There are quite a few places to put a boat in located on Narragansett Bay. Upper bay one place is Bold Point Park in East Providence, Mid-bay is Haines Memorial Park is in Barrington, lower-bay is Colt State Park in Bristol. These are a couple on the east side of the bay. There are many others. Yes, fish do get into the upper bay, some winter there at the Electric Company inside the Hurricane Barrier. Just get to the ice breaker on April 25, you don't even need a boat.:D

On the West side you have Oakland Beach. It's a nice ramp which brings you into the middle of the bay. Gets pretty busy but there is plenty of parking.

The other nice thing is you can launch regardless of the tide.

Depends where, the Bay campus is 50, up on the flats it`s considerably more. We`ve been invaded by twinkies, got 14 in 2 hours this morning.
