Well I finally got my act together yesterday, got off of work a bit early, and hit a local TMA here in CT. After stumbling through several fly patterns, I found that the browns were keyed in on small and black caddis pupae. A size 16 was the ticket, and several nice fish came to hand for release.

I gave my new waders and 5 weight a work out, and I can now say that I'm fishy in 2004. It's just beginning. :)

Glad to hear it! :D

It was a beautiful weekend to be out. Sat/Sun were the first
days this year that I saw fish rising regularly. Unbeleivable
stonefly hatch yesterday afternoon although I couldnt get any
to go on top. They were on the nymphs along the banks though

Man you guys are killing me. First I have a business trip to Colorado last week that was so quick that I didn't get a chance to fish . Then Saturday was a party at the inlaws and Sunday was at my sisters. Sometime I'll get on the stream.
