To all you Pike fly tying gurus, what's a good synthetic material to use that will keep my flies lighter and won't absorb so much water which seems to make them so much more work to cast. I swear that every time I cast a bunny tail, I see the lake level go down a foot. Would love to see some of your more favorite patterns. Thanks
Durable synthetics that don't absorb water are some of the artificial hairs such as Super Hair, Unique Hair, and the like. These come in a wide array of colors.
As for pike patterns, you can check the database. There's a few in there.
