My father-in-law if traveling to Telluride on July 15th and I would like to hook him up with a good flyfishing guide. Any thoughts? He is a beginner and has not had much luck in the past so I would like him to have a great time fishing and truly get "hooked" on flyfishing. Thanks.
Not sure if Brad will chime in but there are some good references at:
You might contact Scott FLyrods, they are located in Telluride. If they can't tell you I don't know who could! ;-)
I will chime in as Juro puts it, hope this helps.
I don't know any guides personally but here are some phone numbers.

Big article in the paper today about floating the gunnison the guide was hank hotze but there is no contact info. Lots of browns with a few really big bows around. The state just stcked WD free bows and they caught a ton of these hungry little fish.
Thanks Brad! Let me know when you are on the cape, I have a few more spots since we last got out.

I know that this message may be after the fact, but I just got back from Telluride. John Duncan coowns Telluride Outside. He was a sales rep for Scott rods. I booked a trip though him on the San Miguel River. The guide, Chris, I used was a college kid who has fly fished since the age of 4. He was a terrific fisherman and I caught ten trout under difficult conditions. When I was in Durango, I tried to book a last minute trip at Duranglers, a terrific fly shop. I was very dissappointed in their professionalism. John Flick, I think an owner, did nothing to help arrange or to suggest anything (very condescending, very surly). I called back John in Telluride who told me to call Will Blanchard in Durango. Over the phone, Will was great and set me up on a high mountain stream where I caught about 8 very secretive native cutthroats. Will is the guide you want to use in Durango. John is the guide in Telluride. Go into Duranglers to look at the pretty displays, but looks can be deceiving. Have fun.
