: Dahlberg's Faux Pas?

Today on the hunt for big fish, Larry Dahlberg goes to Tierra Del Fuego in pursuit of the biggest brown trout. Unfortunately he catches a quinnat, the local name for transplanted king salmon!

The fish kicks his butt as would be expected on 8# tippet and when it's landed they gloat as if it's a brown trout!

Just happened to catch that myself. Sure didn't look like a brown trout (how about those teeth?).

Unrelated, did you happen to see Henry Winkler landing big New Zealand browns? What struck me most was how truly grateful he was to the guide as well as in awe of the fish themselves.

NZ looked amazing! The landscape and streams looked a lot like the pacific northwest's streams. Now *those* were browns!
