My route for walking the dog at night leads me past a section of a nearby lake. The water front which is a truely "scenic" area with bars and a closed amusement park has a paved boardwalk & chainlink fence ~ 5' above the water surface.
On last nights walk ~ 4 hours after dusk I stopped about 10 times along the waterfront and shined the flashlight on the water. Almost everytime I saw sunfish in ~ 3' of water hugging rocks. 2 things surprised me they were all nose in towards the shore, and that only 1 out of ~ 25 - 30 fish was scared by the flashlight.
Anyone have similiar observations?
