Late start, made it to Magnolia by 7am. Wasn't going to put my yak in do to time constraints, but with all the birds 1/4 mile off I did. Made it out in time to be cutoff by a blue, then they all dissapeared.
I have never seen so many fish blitzing at different points as far as I could see. Birds were in the air over fish at almost every point and island in my view.
Meet Grego in the lot near Kettle cove after pulling my yak in hopes of finding some fish in the rocks. We stood and watched while school after school swam by heading south marauding the surface....just too far out.
Back at work now, not so happy about it!

Were you wearing a bright orange vest or something? Dam yakking run n gunners scare off the fish every time. :D
Well, my vest isn't orange, but my Kayak is pretty Electric Orange  Nah, it couldn't be that...:D :eyecrazy:

i was at pebble, and saw that feed out by milk and thatchers...it was insane !!! had some friends out there in yaks, who slayed em. nothing from shore, there was so much schwag in the water it was ridiculous !!!
Found some fat schoolies mid-morning at the last hole before Shore Rd re-joins 127 on the north end up until the outgoing. Nothing big but fun in the wash coming up the rocks :eyecrazy:
Outgoing at Singing beach was INSANE at mid-day, some in the 35-40" class swimming around in the acre of bunker. Had to leave for time-sensitive obligations mid-day, just when the action began, 2 hours into the outgoing when the current started running north-to-south, shifting later in the day each day of course.
Left wishing I could stay until dark, the area is teeming with life right now!

Who needs Monomoy ? Chatham? Where's that?
hehe... Didn't quite forget all about the pristine sugar white sands of my home waters, but it sure is great to have options like the absolutely gorgeous north shore coastline here in New England on a crisp fall day in the peak of the fishing season.
It's like fishing in a post card with big busting stripers!

i seem to be fishing all the right spots at ALL the wrong times.
i fished magnolia beach tuesday evening, right as i got there, the breakers moved in, and the feed moved out...
wednesday morning i fished pebble, only to see my buddies in yaks slaying em right offshore.
fished pebble again last night, and could see the baitball being moved around, finally it moved in to shore...and of course right at that same moment my fly line decided to become best friends with about 10 pounds of mung...i spent the next 10 minutes trying to get my line to fall back in love with me and not the mung.
and of course the wind picked up, the sun set.....and all i wanted to do was break my rod in half !!!
to add insult to injury, i stopped by a friends on the way home, only to be served some fresh bluefish he caught from the feed i witnessed that morning, he was in his boat, and he had it all on film !! so i sat there drooling from the bluefish and also from the video i was seeing .....
AT LEAST SOMEONE WAS SLAYING EM !!!!
