I've heard that the mouth of the Taunton is a good spot, with a boat to get around in you should be all set this time of year... just get out there and look for birds!
Lot of local knowledge at the tackle shop on Second Street in Fall River. Down by the power plant in Somerset on the point can be good when the water gets colder. West of the power plant in Mt. Hope Bay numerous estuaries flow in. In the spring, a trip up to the Assonet River is worth the trouble.
hindus- You might try the Bristol Narrows- to the west of the mouth of the Taunton river- last nite I had all the 3-4# blues I wanted till the tide began flooding then they went up into the river and out of range from shore. I know come spring there'll be bass up in the river close to the herring run- just watch the channel its very serpentine and shallow at low tide but has plenty of water at high- I used to live along the shore at the north end of the river.
