I have to say after fishing last night with Puck that there is more bait in the waters of the CT shoreline from Old Saybrook to New London than I have ever seen in the area. It's shaping up to be a great fall run!

Fishing in Nianitc was a bit too hectic, so we went on to New London and caught the ebb at an outflow. The schoolies showed up in force, exploding the bait out of the water. Alas, it only lasted for a few moments before bait, rip, and bass were gone. It was quite impressive to see, even though we didn't catch any fish.

I took one word away from our fishing.....BIOMASS! :p

Ill be up there on Thursday (21st ) to check things out. Planning for a full day. Got the fly rods rigged... spin gear stowed... tackle bags full of goodies. Hoping to hit fluke, blues and stripes.. maybe an Albie if I can find them. Did I hear someone say Sluiceway? We shall see

.....you might be able to just walk out across all of the bait. ;)

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
