Has anyone tried these for SW flies? I picked up a half-dozen of the Aki Cutting-Point hooks over the weekend for small hi-ties and bunker patterns. They are incredibly sharp.

Perfect for Mike Mayo's deadly Albie deceiver

The Pamet Special I tied uses a 4/0 AKI cutting point. Very nice hook but not cheap.

I have used Owners for freshwater conventional for 10 or 12 years and love them for certain types of techniques that shall remain secret:D . I have tried them for saltwater fly hooks and have had mixed results. The cutting point rips a pretty big hole by it's nature and they are not easily resharpened. Probably ok for boat fishing in non rocky areas.
