Well I have just about given up on smallmouth this year. We have just been gettin dumped on again the past several days with some heavy rain that has once again flooded all the streams. If there is any smallmouth alive after all of this I would be surprised!
will,
try some of the feeder creeks in your area. some of the smaller streams here are holding some nice fish...gotta catch it betewwn floods and tornado warnings. lol small feeder creeks tend to clear quicker than than thier larger cousins. sometimes the fish will migrate into these smaller streams for shelter from the choas of unseasonally high, dirty and rough water. been catching some nice wallhangers in a very, very small stream that joins the ky river. the ky is a roiling muddy mess, but this little creek , just 1 mile up from the big river, is high, but just as green as emeralds. don't give up, my boy, we've come too far, dammit!!!!!
how was NC?
