Dalalven is in Scandinavia?
My first guess would be Norway....

Dalälven in Sweden.. have you heard about it? it goes from the west to the east of Sweden.
It´s the nearest streaming water in reach from Stockholm.

Welcome to the Forum... I have been in touch with a Dutch flyfishing web site and have been asked to send them steps to my featherbrain after it is published here. I can't remeber the site but it is run by a Hans W. I think. Glad to have you here..

Hi,
in fact I never heard of the Dalalven, but I have been, and will be in Sweden. Sweden if filled with rivers I think... one can hardly know them all. I might go to the Morrum next spring.
On our annual trip to Norway (in August) we usually take the ferry from Kiel (Germany) to Goteborg. From there we travel up north to the Gaula, to do some salmon- and seatroutfishing.
Last year it had not been raining for 10! weeks, so the waterlevel in the Gaula was less than 2 inches.
We went to fish the Orkla in the same area, with is being supplied from a huge hydrolake, but even this lake was emptying after a few weeks.
Had some fun though, got some fish, but no fresh runners.
Who knows, this year will be better...
Best, Hans.

Hi Hans

You might heard about Älvkarleby? älvkarleby is located in the end of Dalälven, i think it´s 180km. north of Stockholm. There is a god chance to catch salmon and seatrout there.

Mörrumsån is located south of Stockholm, i´m not sure of the distance but i think i could be 250km.

So you travels to Norway for som fishing. Norway is a country with a great nature, so when you go there you catch more than fish.

The most of my fishing time i spent around Stockholm, here i fish in both freshwater and saltwater "if you can call it salt" and trying to catch salmon, seatrout, trout and rainbow (catch and release)
