I decided that the 1st of May, I would start fishing...
even though the Boston buoy water temp was still hovering around 44 degrees...I just had to scratch that itch !!
I didn't have any luck, but there were either schoolies rolling all around me, (they didn't like my fly)...or the Danvers River was filled with bait...I never got a look at what was swirling around me....it was dusk....it lasted the first hour and a half of the incomer last night...around 7pm.... could it be herring ?
I was losing my mind....I expected to just go out and practice casting....but there were fish everywhere !!!
I know a fellow who caught some real small schoolies in the danvers a few weeks ago....but they were holdovers....REAL small, fins all roughed up.....

what do you think these fish were ?
