Read the book, a classic and not on fly fishing, but family, love, understanding, ohter great life lessons.

I bought the book when it came out in 1976 read it and sent it to my brother who I grew up trout fishing with back east. Now have the hard copy version, and reread sections every year. Also have the movie.

Love the story about his days in the logging camp and the rigged card game. The cook/chef got what he deserved.

He also wrote a book about the firefighters that died fighting a raging forest fire. Have had a hard time getting my hands on it, darn thing is usually never in stock.

Good morning,
Thanks Willmullis, I like the quote " You don't have to spend ton's of money starting up". I find lot's of possible new "converts" are concerned about the $ of flyfishing. Anyone reading this and thinking of trying the sport, it does not take a King's ransome, but it sure can reap one!
