I spent about 1.5 hrs today after work harvesting 6 bass. 9-18". They were in the shallows and took a weighted white maribou minnow patern I usually use for crappie. Its not much more than an inch long. Slow twitches. The 18" was a real treat on a 4wt.
Man am I gonna enjoy supper tomorrow.:hehe:
Round 1 was a draw: The shear pins on the augers survived but it stalled when the knot caught between the housing & impeller.
Round 2 the bone lost: After futzing around to pull it out with increasingly large tools and breaking off the tag end of the bone I gave up and cut the knot to shreds with a wood chisel. I hate to see what the chisel edge looks like .
Looks to me like that was a double-header, and the bone won the first game 2-0 :hehe: You shoulda gotten a game misconduct for "use of chisel" in the second game. :whoa:
Well thats what happens before the first coffee of the morning when the utility knife isn't working. :chuckle: I thought about a screw driver but that violated the rule that the most dangerous tool is the dull one.
John,
You have my comdolences. My lab can't survive without his "boney".
:whoa:
